Skin loses cells every minute
Skin loses cells every minute
The human body constantly undergoes renewal, shedding old cells to make
way for new ones.
Skin, the body's largest organ, exemplifies this with remarkable
efficiency.
Every minute, approximately 30,000 skin cells are sloughed
off, replaced by fresh ones from the lower layers.
This shedding process, known as desquamation, helps maintain skin
health, removing dead cells and debris while promoting regeneration
