Sound of the Sun

The Sun produces sound in the form of pressure waves from huge gas pockets rising from within. 

These waves travel at hundreds of thousands of miles per hour, breaking through the solar surface. 

The Sun’s atmosphere is akin to boiling water, and the wavelength of these waves is hundreds of miles, beyond human hearing.
