Science cartoon on "Bats obey traffic rules, study says"

     A team of researchers lead by Luca Giuggioli from the University of Bristol has discovered that bats obey certain ‘traffic rules’ when hunting insects. Bats interpret sonar calls from other foraging bats, they can make split-second decisions that prevent them from colliding in mid-air. Luca Giuggioli and his team's findings were published Thursday (March 26, 2015) in PLOS Computational Biology.
