Science experiment DIY: Flame without Matchstick

Science experiment DIY: Flame without Matchstick

When glycerine comes into contact with potassium permanganate, it initiates a rapid oxidation reaction.

The reaction produces heat, light, and flames due to the rapid release of energy as the molecules rearrange and form new compounds.

The manganese dioxide formed as a product of the reaction also contributes to the exothermic nature of the reaction.

The reaction is highly exothermic, meaning it releases a significant amount of heat, enough to ignite any combustible materials nearby.

Due to the intensity of the reaction and the potential hazards involved, this method should only be performed by individuals with proper training and in a controlled environment. It's important to exercise caution and adhere to safety guidelines when experimenting with chemical reactions.
