Why Jupiter is a Failed Star?
Why Jupiter is a Failed Star?
Jupiter, a gas giant, lacks the mass to initiate sustained
nuclear fusion, a defining characteristic of stars. Primarily composed of
hydrogen (90%) and helium(10%), similar to stars, Jupiter's insufficient mass
prevents it from achieving the necessary temperature and pressure for fusion,
relegating it to a planet rather than a star.
